As young people, we really enjoyed the dog-friendly atmosphere and the welcome treats for our furry friend. The lodge was spacious and well-equipped, with a nice seating area outside. It was also in a convenient location for exploring the northern lakes, such as Keswick.
Felt more than at home, nothing to complain about.

If you're looking for a peaceful retreat, this place is ideal. Surrounded by nature, the location offers a quiet and relaxing environment. the lodge is well-maintained and provides all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. the beds are incredibly cozy, ensuring a good night's sleep. the cabin is clean and equipped with all the essentials for a short visit.
It would have been more convenient if there were some on-site amenities or shops available, especially considering the remote location.

Great location for exploring the Lake District, with easy access to nearby attractions. the lodge had a warm and homely feel, with comfortable beds that provided a good night's sleep. It was also a dog-friendly accommodation, which was a big plus for us as we were able to bring our furry friend along.
The lodge could get quite warm during hot weather, as there wasn't enough air flow and no air conditioning. the lack of windows that could be opened made it difficult to cool down the rooms.

Great location for visiting family and dog-friendly. Lodge was clean, warm, and had everything we needed.Comfy, high beds and a great shower.Perfect base to relax after a tiring day of hiking.
Unbearable heat inside the lodge during the heatwave, no air conditioning or enough windows to get proper airflow. Flies were a problem near the lodge due to an unemptied dog poop bin.

My recent stay at Dobby Lodge was good. From the moment I stepped into the cozy cabin, I felt instantly at home. The lodge was super clean, and every little detail was taken care of to ensure a comfortable stay. The bed and sofa were comfortable, providing the perfect spot to relax after a long day of exploring. The shower was heavenly, offering a refreshing start to the day. The lodge itself had all the facilities I needed, making it a convenient and hassle-free experience. The location was amazing, surrounded by fine views and picturesque villages. The peace all around provided a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. My children especially loved their bedroom, and the cuddly toys were a thoughtful touch, made them feel extra special.
The distance from local amenities meant that having a car was essential, and it required a 15+ minute drive to reach most places.
